What Are You Reading?

I’ve been on a nonfiction kick recently, and really loved The Rules Do Not Apply (intense, sharp, honest) and You Are a Badass (inspiring; it’s definitely lit a fire up my ass). I’m also listening to The Handmaid’s Tale on audio, narrated by Claire Danes, and I highly recommend it, especially if you’re watching the show! (Danes reads the dialogue perfectly).

What have you been reading? I’d like to get my hands on Elizabeth Strout’s Anything Is Possible next. I’m also trying to be more open minded after reading this article, which is hard because I put a book down after 3 pages if I don’t like it yet!

Happy Monday, guys! Let’s do this.

  1. I JUST finished The Handmaid’s Tale! It was so good–I couldn’t put it down! Though now I think I need to follow it up with something a bit lighter. The Rules Do Not Apply is also on my summer reading list.

  2. Right now I’m juggling three: Moranifesto (Caitlin Moran), Nevertheless (Alec Baldwin) and Tiny Beautiful Things (Cheryl Strayed), which is just absolutely gutting. All three are heavy and inspiring in different ways — so, so good.

    • Tiny beautiful things is one of my all time favorites! I always get it for girlfriends going through break-ups. I’ll definitely check out the other two books! Thanks for commenting XO

  3. Tiny little things is my bible. Makes me tear up a little bit every time I read it. I am also reading The Handmaid’s Tale, I am French and had no idea it was a classic. Not finished the book yet but how actual not old at all it is! And scary too. Elizabeth is right, will definitely need something lighter after that. Any idea?
