A little over five months ago, I wrote my first post for 3 Chairs. I had this clear vision of what I wanted the website to be, for both myself and for my readers, but I had no idea how it would all work out. The internet can be so unpredictable sometimes, and insanely intimidating. Will all of this effort be for nothing? I wondered. What if no one cares?
Despite having doubts, I plugged away, and reminded myself of one simple fact: if you care, someone else will care. If I find something to be interesting, someone out there will, too. The funny thing about the internet is even though it can be so painfully isolating, it can also unite us on such a universal, fundamental level. And that was a huge comfort.
So I just wanted to take a minute and thank you — all of my readers, who come to 3 Chairs and read my posts. It warms my heart in ways I can’t describe. Every time one of you comments, my heart flutters — I kid you not, it means that much to me! I often wonder who you are, but I’m also starting to feel like this tiny, awesome community is forming, and that one day, I will know you all well. And that’s so thrilling. So thank you : )
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. See you all on Monday!
