Spring in Woods Hole

It finally finally feels like spring in Woods Hole. Everything is so much brighter and greener now, and it’s definitely the quiet before the storm, when all the summer people and tourists start streaming in. This past weekend, the sun was out, and I had my first ice cream cone in a tee shirt. It was a “pinch me” moment after this winter. Here are some photos from around town…

Last summer, Juniper wouldn’t go near the water, but yesterday, she very cautiously waded into the waves to fetch a stick. I think I might be able to convince her that swimming is fun this summer…

The water looks so clear these days, almost tropical — my friend kept commenting that it looks like we could be in the Caribbean with the clear blue water and green landscape. (I can’t wait for it to warm up a little.)

My lunch break often involves these two chasing each other down a path…

Lastly, a sunset on the golf course, when the golfers go home, and I can go to the top of the hill and breathe some fresh air.

This will probably be my last quiet week for awhile. I’m really trying to soak it in!

  1. I can’t tell you how much I want to live inside these photos at this exact (gray, muggy, urban) moment. MISS YOU
