At the start of every summer on Cape Cod, throngs of tourists infiltrate the streets and beaches, and us year-rounders are spotted grumpily shaking our fists in the background. I’ll admit — it is jarring to suddenly be dodging groups of bikers on the bike path when only a month ago I was happy to stumble on a lone squirrel. But at the same time, it was such a quiet winter, and summer is FINALLY here.
Below, I’ve rounded up some photos of my life from the past month or so. I usually don’t do this sort of thing, but the mood struck so I’m going with it! Highlights include: A pasta making party, a week of cherry blossom trees shedding EVERYWHERE, and cheeseburgers on the grill.
Other less perfect moments not captured (to keep it real): Juniper eating a wasp and looking like this for two days, feeling especially anxious about my future, and pulling a tick off of my thigh (eep). Nonetheless, June — you’re a good one.
