For The Frazzled Mind

One day in college, I remember feeling especially frazzled, homesick, and on the brink of tears. When my friend, Maddie, came to my room and saw me practically biting my fingers off, she opened my laptop and started a video. “This will make everything okay,” I remember her saying. I watched it once, and then again, and again. I don’t know what it is — the music, the silhouettes of the viewers, the fish swimming soundlessly through the water — it’s impossible to watch it and NOT feel better.

Isn’t that mesmerizing? Another video I watched recently that put me at ease (and made me smile):

I needed both of those today. I hope everyone is surviving this week. Almost there!
